Abstract
The objective of the present study was to develop the immediate release film coated formulation of Rosuvastatin Calcium to improve the distribution of Rosuvastatin calcium, improve the product stability. In the present study immediate release formulation of Rosuvastatin Calcium was prepared by wet granulation method and by using fluidized bed coating method. Different formulations were made by using various concentrations of superdisintegrant Polyplasdone XL-10 and granulating fluids like water, iso propyl alcohol (IPA) and Butyl hydoxy tuolene (BHT). Opadry pink 03k540019 was used as film coating mateial .The Prepared formulations were evaluated for the physical characteristics, in vitrodissolution and stability at 40°C/ 75% RH for three months. The formuation (F8) of film coated rosuvastatin calcium tablets showed best release profile.
