Abstract
Hepatic hydatidosis is common in many parts of our country, and cysts can reach very large sizes. We encountered a case of giant hydatid cyst originating from the left lobe of liver. It was completely infesting the abdomen, and additional many cysts were seen in the left and right lobe of liver. Diagnosis was confirmed by abdominal magnetic resonance imaging. Left hepatectomy and partial cystectomy was performed for curative treatment of all cysts.
