Abstract
Road traffic accidents (RTAs) are considered as one of the important public health problems around the world. The world's first traffic light was short lived. It was a manually operated gas-lit signal installed in London in December 1868. It exploded less than a month after it was implemented, injuring1.Its policeman operator. Traffic control started to seem necessary in the late 1890s and Earnest Serine from Chicago patented the first automated traffic control system in 1910. It used the words "STOP" and "PROCEED", although neither. A quantitative research approach with quasi experimental research design was considered. The study was conducted rural community area at Kurubarapalli, Krishnagiri. After getting permission from the concerned authority the researcher started data collected 50 samples were selected by adopting non probability purposive sampling and obtained written constant from each sample. On day 1 pre-test was conducted by using medical related information questionnaires on the same day post-test was contected with same tool. The over all mean pre-test and posttest score on Road Safety Measures t value was A Quasi experimental group t=38.26 which was significant at P < 0. 05 level. The over all mean pre-test and post-test score on Road Safety Measures t values was control group t= 38.26 which was significant atp<0.05 level. The Road Safety Measures were effective among the community area people. As by concluded that the stated research hypothesis was accepted
