Abstract
Speech sound may be analysed in terms of frequency, intensity, and duration. Such acoustic characteristics are related to physical properties of sound resonation and air flow. Although speech sounds are most readily heard, they may be “seen” spectrographs record shows an inked plot of varying intensity for different frequencies. A spectrograph does provide a visual record of acoustic phenomena
